Dr. Nicholson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Emory University. She completed both her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology - Chicago, where she received specialized training in clinical work with children and adolescents. Throughout her close to 15 year professional career, Dr. Nicholson has gained expensive experience evaluating and treating a diverse range of clinical concerns including: mood and anxiety disorders, caregiver-child attachment styles, divorce and blended family concerns and peer friendship difficulties. Dr. Nicholson integrates dynamic, systemic and developmental theories to guide her clinical practice.
GOALS
To enhance the emotional functioning, self-care and well-being of children and adolescents by strengthening their self-awareness, emotional resilience, self-esteem and capacity to make good, constructive choices
To improve the social functioning of clients by fostering their capacity to be involved in positive relationships and supportive social networks.
